This year, winning looks different for the Northeastern Huskies as they battled against Boston University for the 45th Women’s Beanpot championship title. Unlike last year, the women played at TD Garden for the first time. The opportunity to skate on NHL ice drew 10,633 fans which made the 2-1 win in overtime the most attended women’s game in Boston according to CBS News.

This should not come as a surprise. Teams filled with top talent always attract crowds as they are given the chance— much like the men’s Beanpot tournament which has always been held at TD Garden.
